The 1st Publicly Available Sperm Account on Blockchain

February 9 2022

You may have missed your chance to be the first person to go to the moon, but now is your chance to hold the 1st publicly available sperm account on blockchain!

HeyLayer is excited to be working directly with Wei Escala, the Founder and CEO of Eggschain, in providing this historic opportunity.

Eggschain is the first patented supply chain system of its kind that combines blockchain and genetics to bring secure, transparent and professional grade information and data to individuals undergoing IVF.

Late last year, Eggschain’s Founder and CEO Wei Escala made history by storing her eggs on the blockchain, doing so through the platform she and her team conceived and created.

Today brings another history-making moment.

To mark the first sperm on blockchain, Eggschain is auctioning off one unique NFT on HeyLayer starting at 12:00 pm EDT on Saturday, March 26, and concluding at 11:59 pm ET on Wednesday, March 30.

Through the convenience of the HeyLayer marketplace, bids may be placed using either a credit card or Stacks cryptocurrency. You will be able to bid on the NFT here starting Saturday.

This auction is an opportunity to demystify fertility treatments, participate in crypto culture, and/or learn more about Blockchain and Eggschain.

The NFT provides added value with very unique unlockables. The highest bid will not only secure an artistic expression of Eggschain and sperm, but also the first publicly available record for a sperm on blockchain and a history-making moment of its own. These privileges and benefits may include a lifetime discount on sperm storage for the 1st owner, with participating clinics. The sperm must be stored in an Eggschain-approved clinic and logged onto the blockchain through Eggschain within 30 days, or the spot may be taken by other patients.

We are excited to see who the lucky bidder is, and look forward to furthering the advancement of science in Web3 and on the blockchain!
